Our Staff

 

    Pastor, Kenneth Coleman. Kenneth and his wife, Leita, will celebrate 23 years of service at First Baptist Church in June of 2010.  Our church family is so grateful that God gave us such dedicated and devoted leadership for these years.  Brother Kenneth is a graduate of Decatur Baptist Junior College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He came to FBC after fifteen years of pastorate in Houston, Texas.  He and Leita have three grown sons and seven precious grandchildren.   

 

 Associate Pastor - Education/Children, Joe Cathey. Joe and his wife, Nancy have lived in Godley for the past five years and in Fort Worth for over fifteen years. The Cathey's have two children, Natalie and Andrew. Joe did his undergraduate work at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He did the Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages and Doctor of Philosophy in Old Testament/Archaeology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Joe spent three years in the pastorate in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

   

     Music Minister, Tim Manning.  Tim and his wife have been ministering in Godley since 2008.  He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, holding a Master of Divinity degree.  Tim has been serving in church ministry for 13 years serving in various churches is Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.  He and his wife, Lori, met in college and were married in 1996.  They have 4 children: Hayden, Ron, Kaylee, and Peter.  Tim and his family currently live in Fort Worth where his wife is principal of a fine arts charter school.

 

 Church Secretary,Kathy Allen has been serving FBC in the office ministry since September of 2001 and has served in several capacities in our church for many years.  She also serves as our choir accompanist and church organist and has been a long time member of our church and community.  Kathy has four grown children and six grandchildren.
